Flag of Laurentides, an administrative region of Québec. The name of the region is the French name for the Laurentian mountains, of which the majority is located here.
It currently has no flag, official or unofficial, and as such this is my original idea for a flag, and it can be taken as a suggestion if one wants.
The colours are royal blue, red and forest green. The blue for the sky and the many lakes of the region. Red for the brilliant colours of autumn, and green for the forests of deciduous and coniferous trees that blankets the area. The bands are wavy to represent the mountainous horizon.
As the area is relatively undeveloped, and is the location of many summer homes, so I decided to keep the symbology casual, only one fleur-de-lys as an indicator of the region's position as a subdivision of Québec.
Please note: I don't mean to make any political statements by this flag, I am merely exploring the aesthetics of it.
